Just find a kitchen glove (we know there is one somewhere in the kitchen), put it on, and then grab that lid to open stuck jars. The rubber surface will give you a much more secure grip, making jar opening a breeze.
Quickly Fill in Scratches on Wood with a Crayon or Candle
Are there deep scratches in your wood that no amount of buffing or wax spray will cover? Don’t despair! All you need is an unscented candle or a box of crayons to effectively fill in scratches on wood. Start by roughly rubbing or sanding the wood to remove any pieces that may be jutting out or uneven. Then, use the crayon or candle that most closely matches the wood’s color and simply rub it back and forth against the wood (no melting required) until you completely fill in the scratches on the wood. After that, wipe the surface and lightly buff it with a clean cloth to remove any excess wax.
Frozen Banana Snacks – A Refreshing and Healthy Treat

For this refreshing treat, we’re keeping it simple. Take a ripe to very ripe banana and slice it in to bite-sized slices. Be sure to slice the banana and not just freeze it with the peal on (trying to extract the frozen banana from the frozen peal is a real challenge). Take your slices and put them into a ziploc bag. Gently remove whatever air you can from the bag as you seal it up to avoid condensation and ice crystals. The next time you’re looking for a tasty treat on a hot day, reach for your frozen banana snacks (and a chocolate bar if needed).

Need to Roast Coffee Without a Roaster? Use a Popcorn Popper
Want the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans to fill your kitchen but don’t want to invest in an expensive home coffee roasting system? To roast coffee without a roaster, just get some green coffee beans and throw them into your popcorn popper. Seriously! Measure out approximately ΒΌ cup of green coffee beans, place them in the popper, put the lid on, and turn the machine on. Within about four minutes, you should start to hear popping noises and get that distinct coffee aroma. In another minute or so, it should start to smell smokey. You can turn the popcorn popper off at this point for a light roast, or let it continue up to another two minutes for a dark roast. After that, just wait until the beans are cool to the touch, grind them, and make your perfect cup of coffee. That’s all you need to roast coffee without a roaster!
Use Olive Oil to Make Dull Marble Countertops Look New
Marble can get cloudy and scratched over time, losing its luster, especially on kitchen surfaces that get a lot of use. Use another dry cloth to buff away any excess oil. That’s all there is to it! It might not be as long-lasting as resurfacing, but no one will be able to spot the difference.
