Bathroom Towel Hook Saves Space
Whether you have extra guests or simply don’t have the space to hang multiple towels in your bathroom, consider this space-saving hack. Add extra shower curtain hooks to your shower curtain rod so everyone has a place to hang their towels. If shower curtain hooks are not readily available try simple S-hooks found at your local department store. Save space and give guests the room they need to hang their towels.
Loosen and Refresh an Old Tube of Mascara
If your mascara is getting clumpy or you are having a tough time getting the last bits out of the tube, try this hack to loosen and refresh an old tube of mascara. Soak the closed tube in a cup of hot water for a few minutes to melt away the clumps and loosen the mascara from the sides of the tube.
Use Hair Clips to Prevent Tangled Cords
Are your wires turning into a tangled knot? It turns out that one of the things we use to keep hair from tangling can also be used to prevent tangled cords. Just untangle your cords one last time and snap a hairclip over the group of them. It will keep them all together while keeping them contained enough to prevent knots. If you have longer cords, you may need to add another hair clip every few feet to keep everything under control.
Use a Wire Hanger to Stop Static Cling
Are your winter clothes sticking together in the closet? Skip the inevitable static-cling hair look and grab an empty hanger instead. As long as the hanger is metal, all you will need to do is run it over the fabric to stop static cling. It will immediately remove the static and stop the cling. This hack is so simple that you don’t even need to go looking for supplies around the house. Chances are, there’s already a hanger suited for the job right there with the clothing.
Use Vinegar and Baking Soda to Lift a Stain
Do you have stubborn stains on tile or other surfaces? Have you already tried scrubbing without any major success? This works amazingly for deep-set and stubborn stains on everything from porcelain to cloth. The major exceptions are wood and metal. Simply cover the stain with baking soda first and then pour on the vinegar to lift a stain. When the two cleaning ingredients combine, there will be an instant chemical reaction creating a strong foam that will lift even the toughest berry, ink, or coffee stains.
Problem solved!
