Hide Ugly Electronics With Art

This works great for alarm control panels and other electronics that don’t meet your aesthetic sensibilities. If you plan to hide a thermostat this way, make sure air can still freely get to it, or consider installing a remote temperature sensor. Find a canvas you like, 2-4 narrow hinges (depending on size/weight of the art) and mount the hinges to the wall as desired. A small level is key for this project. If you’re hanging on drywall, we’d recommend trying to mount the hinges to a stud if layout allows. For full details on this project, please visit the link above.

Use Pot in Pot Planting to Swap Vegetables and Flowers in Your Landscape

Dig a hole for a pot just slightly larger than the planted pot you’ll be using. Make sure both pots have adequate drainage holes. For enhanced drainage, apply a layer of gravel below the in-ground outer pot. Using several of these enables you to quickly change your landscaping, for veggies, flowers and other plants.

Chalk Line Snap Like You Have Three Hands

chalk line snap

Snapping lines for angles on plywood and other sheet goods usually needs a helper to hold one end of the chalk line. Cut a small kerf out of the point of the cut and insert your chalk line tip into the groove for an instant third hand for snapping lines.
