Banana peel rose fertilizer is a great hack for growing beautiful roses. The peels decompose quickly and release nutrients such as nitrogen and potassium into the soil. The simplest way to take advantage of the nutrient rich banana peel is to bury them six inches from the base of your rose bush and one inch deep. You can also cut them into smaller pieces if you wish.
Vinegar Fabric Softener
I know, if you have not tried it, it sounds a little bit crazy! But, white vinegar works great as a natural Diy fabric softener. Just add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle, and your clothes come out soft. In case you wondered, there is no vinegar smell when all is said and done. It’s natural, safe and inexpensive!
Use Chalk to Battle Grease Stains
Rub grease stains with chalk before throwing the clothes in the wash.
Remote Control Bottle Opener
Adding a small bottle opener to your dog’s keychain results in a bottle opener that responds to verbal commands. You may never have to look for or “retrieve” a bottle opener again!
Lip Balm Emergency Cash Supply
Headed to the beach and don’t want your cash stolen? Grab an old Chap Stick or other lip balm container and remove what’s left inside (including the inside portion of the twist up mechanism). Take all the cash you’ll need for frozen, chocolate-covered bananas, roll into a cylinder with a diameter smaller than the tube and stash that cash! Depending on your currency of choice and the brand of lip balm, you may need to fold the cash lengthwise before rolling to get the right fit (just make sure you leave enough cash sticking up above the top of the tube that you can still grab the bills easily). Don’t forget about your stash and try to use it on your lips though, cash residue has a low SPF!
