This is a great hack submitted by Margee Moore over at moxiemom.com. Follow the link below to learn how she retrofitted her 1920’s American made stove. In her post, “How to Retrofit an Antique Stove” Moxie explains how she feared she’d have to get rid of this beautiful piece because it was a safety hazard. That is until she did some investigating and found the answer she was looking for. Thanks Margee for submitting this great hack!

DIY Phone Charging Station
This DIY phone charging station is made out of a 27.3 oz water bottle, so it’s essentially free! All you need is a water bottle, scissors, marker and measuring tape or ruler. Measure approximately 3″ or more from bottom of bottle `(my phone is approximately 3″ x 5″, if yours is larger you should size accordingly and possibly use a larger bottle). At that measurement draw a half-circle around bottle. At the end of each side of that line draw a straight line approximately 4″ toward top of bottle, then join the lines together at the top. Cut along the marker lines. Next, using your plug as a guide, outline the plug in the center of the back towards the top (make sure your phone fits once you hang it on the plug). Finally paint your charging station as you like, or don’t, it’s entirely up to you!

Make a Table Out of a Vintage Suitcase
This stylish table is not just a conversation piece, it also doubles as hidden storage. There are many different tutorials and techniques online for this project. Basically, to make a table out of a vintage suitcase you will need a suitcase, legs (I bought these from Home Depot), leg mounts, pre measured and cut wood insert, glue, drill and screws. Glue the wood insert to inside bottom of suitcase, attach leg mounts to bottom using drill, then screw in the legs. That is basically it. If you are feeling frisky you can also upholster the inside. I painted the legs with bright blue spray paint to make the piece pop. Have fun with it!
